The Social Club
A new social club for young people with additional support needs has started up across Dumfries and Galloway.
To have your say in how it is shaped, come along and tell us what you would like to do.
Sessions could include having a regular meeting time/venue, or go to somewhere different every week or a mix. Sessions are not compulsory and you can choose to come to what you fancy.
The age range is 16-26. The emphasis will be on young people having appropriate social experiences for their age group. This may include:

- Going to the pub or a cafe or getting a takeout and eating together
- Cinema, video games, karaoke, sport
- Seeing live music
- Playing some pool and any other suggestions that the young people want to do
- In house – sessions may be playing cards/chatting/quizzes/craft activities.
All activities will be supported by staff. Young people will need to make their own way to the local venue and home again afterwards or be collected. Depending on the activity, the costs may vary from about £5-£10.
Groups are up and running in Dumfries, Stranraer, Stewartry, and Annan/Lockerbie.
